and I am no expert, but I think I see your problem. You put your stand in a swimming pool. Deer do not like to swim.

That is what make Giles Island just like a high fence.

That's not a pool brah! It's a tarp that looks like a pond to attract ducks, otters, and crawfish.

Is it legal to shoot across his property, because that's my plan. I won't even have to cross his property to retrieve deer.

can you meet with the dude and layout a "management plan"? pump him up saying we will harvest a couple a year, save the rest for big racks, etc. Might be the only way to do it rationally.
does he know anything about hunting at all, other then being gun happy?

I've never seen such a masterpiece - that mallard looks like you took a photograph.

Nice map layout though.

I would try to have a meeting about deer management and hunting in general with your neighbor. I think that's the best suggestion I've read so far.
