I'm so poor last time I went to the grocery store I had to take shite off after they rang me up.

I'm not really THAT poor it just so happened I forgot my debit card and only had enough cash for the bare necessities (beer, shite paper, a whole chicken, and rice) and didn't realize it until I was checking out. Quite possibly the most embarrassing moment of my life.

As I said in the other thread that quoted these same statistics: SA needs to get my mags shipped out!

I don't see how SA can claim to be meeting demand if they're still running 30-45 days behind....

I would assume that their production is meeting current demand but they are still behind from when orders initially spikes and before they ramped up production. Basically, they aren't getting further behind and the 30-45 days behind is staying consistent.

RELOADERS... ALL Remington, Winchester, CCI & Federal primers are going to ammo FIRST. There are no extra's for reloading purposes... it could be 6-9 months before things get caught up. Sorry for the bleak news, but now we know what to expect in the coming months. Stay tuned, we'll keep you posted...

Son of a bitch.

I guess I won't be doing any real shooting for the next 9 months. Sweet.......

The 9 month time frame is what scares me. I have gone ahead and stocked up on everything I use for hunting. I need to get some 12 gauge #6 shot and I will be set through next hunting season.

Speaking of shotgun shells, what's their availability? I've heard of every metallic cartridge under the sun but not one tidbit about shotshells.

From what I have seen, it is thin but not impossible. I wonder if that is because materials are being shifted to pistol and rifle calibers.

I think that is probably their standard production lead time. Not many large manufactures (of any product) build the orders they receive from distribution immediately. I know in the industry that I work in, the product is generally made 15-21 days out. It's distribution's responsibility to plan and inventory to be able to provide for immediate delivery to consumers. Obviously in a situation like what we have going on with ammo, it is impossible for distribution to keep inventory so the manufactures lead time becomes visible

Anyone else wonder about possible quality control issues with factories cranking them out as fast as possible?

I haven't looked for shotgun shells lately either. Surely skeet loads are available. I've got about a case, but with my new shotgun coming this week, I'm planning on needing a lot more than that real soon.

We need to have some OB skeet shoots this year.
