Looking to buy some blue crab claw cutters to make things like sautéed crab claws. Any recs on brand and design? They are not easy to find online and I think I saw some recommended on here before but search didn’t turn anything up.

Didn’t realize I posted this on the OT my bad. I’m looking for something that commercial crab people use.

There are a couple of cutters specifically for blue crab claws. Not crackers. They make it very easy to remove the shell on the claw so you can do 100s an hour.

Like the middle picture sbove. Thank you. But those look like they are made for flat bills. I wasn’t sure if there was an older cheaper version. I’ve seem them sold at places like Alaric bro’s.

Have you tried them? Pretty legit? I may be interested. Be careful your post may get whacked though they don't like people to sell on here.

I have not tried wither out yet but I will be soon. The cutters are thick and feel like a real tool not something that would brake. Strong spring loaded, I took a vid i'll post up in a few. Im looking to get some king crabs or something to try them on.

I just get stuff with a side gig I have and want to hook up TD peeps. Not like the un named cooler drama...I figured that situation would get out of control.

Those Toadfish crab claw cutters work great on Blue Crabs. King Crab claws are a little too large in my experience. The only Toadfish tool that works better than those claw cutters is their shrimp peeler. Damn sure a time saver.

What about on the king crab legs? It also has what looks like a can opener on the side too that seems like could help in extraction. Ill be boiling some blues in the future to try as well.

I am looking forward to the shrimp peeler, thats what prompted the cell when I recently saw them on the food board. I been just peeling them and using a knife on a second round to de-vein them

Do like every other coonass and use the cheapest butter knife you can find. Wal-Mart sells them for 6 for $1.98. Use the the sharpened end and give it a good whack, turn it over and repeat, remove meat.

50 crabs by myself like that? I've been picking crabs my whole life and used every tool but one of these claw cutters. I watched a guy at a seafood house do 10s of claws with one of these cutters in a matter of minutes. He probably did like 50 claws in 10 minutes. They come clean and are super quick. I could use a butter knife to open oysters too but an oyster knife is better.

The restaurants that sell things like fried and sauteed crab claws aren't using butter knives. If there's a tool that makes your life easier I'm all about it.

This tool is $10. There's one or two more brands out there. I was just looking to see if someone had experience with them.
