My driveway is starting to look a grimy. How much it cost to get someone to pressure wash it for me?

Is there a standard price per square foot?

I guess I could try to borrow a pressure washer from someone and try to do it myself, but have never used one before.

My across the street neighbor does this. They even have some special tool that looks like a giant floor sander. I just don't understand the concept.

DIY. It's fun.

Hours and hours of mindless labor. It's a stress reliever and it's fun to watch the grime go away row by row.

If you can peel a tater, you can pressure wash a driveway. Not sure how much it costs to rent one, but I assure you it will be considerably less than paying someone to do it.

Put a beer in one hand and the wand in the other and start spraying.

I am curious what kind of man does not own a pressure washer?
Just go get one they are great for cleaning lawn furniture after winter, car trucks mowers, driveways, siding, gutters, white trash lil kids, foundation...

I have no idea what they charge. but what other power tool can you use while drinking a beer (drunk) while making the wife happy at the same time?

Ha!

I wish...Mine wont let you one hand it...too much pressure...you may be able to get away with that with a cheaper lower pressure unit...

I want to buy a nice surface cleaning attachment, but I find this Briggs one I've been using to be pretty good...saves a lot of time and is cheap too...

$49 at Lowes

but this is what I really want...problem is it won't get used often and takes up way more room than the Briggs...

I have a 3 car wide driveway about 75 feet long. It takes 7-8 hrs and I clean about a 3 inch swipe at a time when it is really dirty. I am just about to buy a rotating head to use this next time and it will cover about 12 inches at a pass. I hope to reduce my time to near 2 hours or less. Be careful and don't hurry is all I can tell you if you DIY!

This. For some reason I take great pleasure in mind numbing tasks like this. I can see progress 2-3 inches at a time. I can't drink beer though. Have to have one hand on the trigger and the other half way down the wand.

I use a 12" rotating head Karcher to clean concrete drive/sidewalk with a 3000 psi / 2.5 gpm washer. Only way to avoid the zebra look and it goes much faster than just a wand. Use it about once every year or two and it does an excellent job. Pretty pricey though.

the karcher is only $69 and is not rated as high as the Briggs

Rent one and do it yourself. $40 bucks.

Kinda fun and mindless to do...getting a little wet with mist when it's hotter than hell outside feels pretty good also.

Wear hearing protection.

Negative. This one was north of $400 'on line'. No plastic, all SSt and bronze whirler and orifices with 3 wheels, shaft, etc. I really like it.

1. Find a buddy with a pressure.
2. Find a highschool kid that needs gas money.
3. ???
4. Profit?

Mine was dirty so I just had it torn out and a new one installed

Seriously though it worked out perfect driveway had to be replaced to do large mud pockets on the initial poor.
