it seems he's at the back end of a flip with the rod up high like that huh?

yes, but that's still to high, unless he is specifically trying to drop into a hole in brush within a very, very few feet...

eta; if he's that close, i would pull out line and just drop in.

I never mastered the art of cleaning catfish, therefore they all get thrown back if I catch them.

I can't walk more than 45 feet off a trail without being turned around when it is overcast. I have zero sense of direction and pay no attention to things as I walk. Must have a compass to even leave the parking lot.

Oh!

and I cannot bite the fishing line to break/cut it. Both my dad and brother can, but I have no idea how they do it. This has bothered me my entire life.

I'd rather bite fishing line than cut it even if I have a knife in my hand.

Don't like Power Pro too much though.

BOw for me. I can shoot one, but dont know what Im doing really, never owned one. I been looking around though, have to fix that.

I've wanted to get into it for a while. My dad only bow hunts, and says its a different type of rush. I just work during bow season every year usually out of town so I never have time. I choose my battles. I take off last 2 weeks of December and first 2 of January to hunt the rut, and bust some ducks.

I chipped one of my front teeth one time and told the dentist when he was fixing it to leave it a litte sharper than normal so I could cut through bigger size lines easily

I can do it but I am not very good at launching a boat. Only had to do it maybe 5 times. Can't stand waiting in line at the spillway to do so....stresses me out!

Meaux- practice in the yard, start with something heavy, a jig or something (not a good one, cheapest POS you have in your box.)

Hold the bait in your other hand, start the tip low, create a pendulum motion with the bait, while swooping the tip forward and up. Some people find it easier to turn their rod over so the reel is down. You just have to keep at it until you find what is comfortable for you.
Once you get the basics down, start trying it with your non dominant hand.

I absolutely suck at pulling a boat into a slip or onto a trailer. I need more practice.
