I just got a CC holster in the mail for my M9. No CCL yet but I'm wearing it in the house now (with the gun empty of course) and it doesn't seem bad at all with jeans and a t shirt. It definitely prints a little but it's not too bad.

After I get a permit I'll probably get a smaller gun, but I'm pretty sure I could tote this thing all day pretty easily. I don't see any reason to go much smaller than this from my 30 minutes of carry experience

My GP100 .357 is considerably smaller than this hunk and I shoot it better, so I imagine that will end up being what I carry most.

So many options.

You make some very good points.

1. Picking "the right holster" is important. It's usually a matter of trial and error (I have a box full of "rejects" that I've tried over the years.) "The right holster" (which will be different for different people) enables people to carry a bigger gun than they previously thought they could conceal.

2. Concealed guns sometimes print. But rarely do people notice. If they do, so what -- the imprint could be a phone, or an eyeglasses case. I've never been asked, but if I get that question, I have my answer ready ---- "It's a high-speed wireless communication device" (about 1250 ft/sec, and the communication will be loud & clear ).

3. I think it's very wise to carry the gun you shoot best. I've read posts on a number of boards where a CCW holder wants to carry the littlest gun he can buy, even though he doesn't shoot it as well as one of his larger weapons (very illogical to me). If a person chooses to carry a revolver because he shoots it better than a semi-auto, that's a very logical, analytical choice.

While it does look and feel significantly smaller, I laid my GP100 over the M9 and they'd require basically the exact same sized box to fit in.

LCP is a semi. I owned that gun. I rather the LCR. No guessing if I took the safety off or putting one in the chamber.

Mine stays loaded and in the truck. The trigger is hard enough that you have to be intending to shoot for it to go off.

I'm not very knowledgable on semi pistols, and didn't know they made them like a double action revolver.

Must have mis read your post. LCP is a semi auto not a revolver. LCR is the revolver version of of that line.
