For CCP holders, how long did it take to get your permit after you made payment?

If you did your fingerprints in Baton Rouge, it should take no more than a week to get your permit. Mine was 3 days after the approved email.

It took a full year after submitting fingerprints for me to get to the payment request. Never actually got the request, I had to contact State Police and they said my status showed "awaiting payment."

That's absolutely absurd.
The fact that you can't walk into any LSP station and get your fingerprints taken and sent to BR is completely ridiculous.

Did mine at a local police station, sent them by certified mail, and waited and waited...
Finally called to find out it was awaiting payment. I never received any notification.
Now I just want to know how long is an average wait time to get your permit after it's been paid...

I think after you pay, it's something like 7-10 business days, IIRC.
Did you do any of this online or was this all by paper form?

Registration was all electronic, payment was electronic. Only thing not was the fingerprinting. I'm in North Louisiana so a long ways from Baton Rouge.

I paid on 9/12. Should I see it this week?

I'm in LA. I received my permit in the mail about 2 weeks after I got fingerprinted/paid. I did my fingerprints at State Police headquarters in Baton Rouge.

Did mine at the BR headquaters. Took 2 weeks Feb 2016.

For sure. I'm happy for those of you who live close enough to BR to go to the LSP HQ's to be fingerprinted. But why can't the LSP change the process to make the same privilege available to someone like me who lives 5 hours from BR???

Online application submitted, fingerprints done at LSP headquarters, payment made all on September 1. No permit yet.

Little thread hijack:
What do they need from my divorce paperwork?

It's literally the only thing that retards the process and puts an undue burden on citizens to protect themselves.
ETA: wasn't there some sort of legislation passed that say's the govt can't restrict the 2A rights of LA citizens? Could this qualify as a restriction?
