When I started carrying I had a 19. I found it was a little too big for me day to day. I ended up not carrying as much because it was just uncomfortable. That being said I am a smaller guy so it stuck out to me a little more.

Then I went to a 43 with a taran +1 basepad and loved it. I carried everyday with no issues at all. I would forget I even had it on most days. Only downside is the capacity. It's limited to the 7+1 which isn't ideal. I would switch back to the 19 when I would go to less desirable areas.

Now I have the 43X with sheild arms magazines. It's the perfect concealed setup. It has the full length grip that's the same size as the 19. Same capacity as the 19 at 15+1. The same width of the 43 which is very slim. It's perfect.

Not a 19 but my first gun was a P228 which fits in the same size category. Maybe a little bulky and a little heavier but not much. I could and did carry it but it's bulky and big enough that I would wear specific clothes to be able to comfortably carry it. It's not a wear shorts and tee shirt and comfortably conceal type of weapon IMHO.

Any of you guys conceal carry a Glock 19?
I carry a G19 24/7 (wherever legal).

I carry OWB using a Comp-Tac paddle holster. Been using this holster for about 18 years.

ETA: Saw post by Downshift & Floor It after I replied. He said "The only time I need a smaller gun is if I have to tuck my shirt in. The bigger gun prints really bad, so I have a shield for that."

^ I do this as well on the rare occasions when I have a doctor appt. and will be removing my shirt or pants. On those occasions I carry a G43 in a soft pocket holster and a spare mag. I guess I'm paranoid, but I am uncomfortable when I can't carry the G19 - because I shoot it better and faster than the G43.

I currently carry a Ruger 380 but wanted to get something a tad bigger and a 9mm.

Lots of really good guns in between the Ruger 380 and Glock M19. I don't carry a M19. I like smaller, single stack 9's. If you cc a M19, I think you'd find an OWB holster more comfortable than an IWB.

Love my Cm9. Great trigger.

Have one also. Not my primary, but still like it. So easy to conceal.

Full disclosure - I have CC'd a Beretta 92 (don't ask) in winter clothes.

The problem comes with Summer gear. "Normal" Glocks are chunky and the babys aren't much better.

A G26 will be "easier" than the 19 and the 43 even easier.

Or you could look at the Sig P365 as an option with a huge user base. Or the Shield.

Or one of the little Kahrs or Kel-tecs - just pick your poison.

It's pretty dependent on how you dress and how you're built. Some people can hide a 19. Some people can't. Some people need to change how they dress.
