Buying a commercial ice maker as a Christmas present to myself. Any OB'ers have one at their house or camp that can recommend and or suggest to stay away from? Looking for something around 300#.
TIA
TIA

This is the only answer. Have had one outside but undercover for 4 years or so near saltwater. No issues.

I know a guy with a couple of glass top 80 inch kelvinators if anyone is in need of an overkill chest freezer.

We've got a 300# Hoshizaki at the fishing camp and it's plenty of ice.

Is it going to be an inside climate controlled unit or outside in the elements?
We have an Ice-O-Matic in our kitchen(climate controlled) at the camp. Had one sensor go out in 11 years. If its outside make sure the holding bin is well insulated, including the lid.
Make sure you change the filters once a year if used frequently.

Will be kept in my garage so not climate controlled but will be out of the elements

Not a fan actually, want a half cube style and not the small sonic ice cubes.

Been through a few over the last many years I have to agree with the others...
Hosizaki or however the hell you spell it, makes ice and knock on wood doesn't break.

Hoshuzaki is the only way to go

Hoshisaki is the answer UNLESS no one around you services them. It is going to need regular service.

Ours hasn't been serviced since we got it 4 years ago

Likewise, we clean the air filter and replace the inline water filter, but that's it.
