This, wait about 2 months and AR stuff is gonna be dirt cheap. Once folks figure out how long its going to take for anything to be passed, and the shops just over ordered, stuff will rock-bottom.

One can only hope and this is the likely short-term outcome. Whatever is passed is going to have to be "OKed" by SCOTUS. From beginning (draw up new laws) to the end (SCOTUS) will take the better part of next year and by then 90% of America will have forgot about Newtown and be on edge about the newest Ipad

Just a hunch, but any sort of weapon restriction will have to go through congress, and that takes forever. That means a lot of advance notice, and sellers will want to clear their shelves if it is an outright AR/AK ban. Also, there's the chance all they do is go after magazine capacity. If thats the case then AR's will be marked down all over.
