Dammit, don't you jinx this turn in the weather!

Headed down HWY1 myself, as well.

Bub I'm either going to be sleeping late and getting drunk starting at 11AM - ish in Grand Isle or I'll be on the water 6AM-ish through noon-ish (or until we hit a limit) and hitting the tiki bar at 2PM-ish on Friday and Saturday.

One way or the other it beats cutting grass and working

Yea our IT managed service provider has a condo down there and that's who I'm going with this weekend. I'm hoping that his guide can at least put us on some trout somewhere....BUT like I said I'll be happy drinking and cooking as well

ETA Probably hit Artie's at least once....assuming it's not too trashy to handle

I’m seeing 1.7 ft seas with 6s swell periods. That’s not terrible, I may try to snap a couple snapper and run back in before the bad weather.

Storms normally start in the morning offshore and move inland as the day goes on. Just make sure to look at the radar before hitting the gulf sometimes it better to wait the showers out in the early morning then head out once they move inland

Looks like the weather just updated again. Expecting a better chance of rain Saturday morning to mid day (50%). Seas look like they will be 1-3ft and winds 10-15 knots.

The weekend forecast has changed all week. Hoping for just the usual afternoon summer storms. Wind is going to be there regardless, I'm afraid. Afternoon showers will just make sure I don't miss baseball on TV.
