Cookies is hit or miss on them being there

I am pretty damn sure I have heard them broadcasting advertising for their store on the 1 9, which is highly illegal. I heard it from BR to Amite and it didn't stop the entire time

I need to go dig my old radio stuff out. If I had somewhere to mount it in my truck I would.
Have a Galaxy 77V and a DaveMade 2x4 tucked away somewhere from about 10 years ago. Probably have some other radio stuff. Can you still sell this stuff or is it pretty much obsolete??

Maybe for a decent price. Try CL. It isn't hard to find a decent place to mount them. I put one under my steering column in my old truck, one in front of the console in my new truck, and I also put one in the center console of my buddy's Z71 with two squirrel cage fans to cool it

How big a hole did you have to drill in the roof of your truck to get the Wilson 1000 coax cable through

Highway 190 past Krotz Springs on the right across from the truck stop.

An antique electronics store or a museum, maybe.

I have always had Wilson mag mounts so no holes drilled. They have a template that comes with the hard mount kits, so maybe you can find that online

I wonder if I buy a decent radio online, and pay for them to "tune" it, and throw on decent antenae, will it be good?
otherwise I'm thinking call Cookies and make an appointment... this particular truck, I don't feel like driving to Port Barre, waiting an hour or two, then driving back...
but, I don't feel like throwing away a few hundred bucks on a radio that don't work right.

I got all of my stuff from GI Joe's. Most online places will tune them up if you pay like am extra $10 or something. I think mine dead-keys around 23 watts or so.
How far are you wanting to talk? You've got to understand that you can reach out and have a conversation with someone >5 miles away with any kind of just stock radio. Gonna need a linear for that. Texas Star makes some good, smaller, cheap ones. I am still not sold on Cookie's CB. Been there 5 times and they were only open once.

In all seriousness, can you still chat with people with one? I don't know anyone that has one anymore.

Well, if the CB threads keep popping up,,everybody on the OB will have one and we can all talk.

I'm thinking about getting one now

Yea.
You can always frick with truck drivers, and a good bit of regular people have them still. Pay attention, there's lots of whips out there. I didn't notice it until I got one.
If you get into the high power game with linears and shite you can talk all you want. Ch 6 and 11 are pretty much always busy with international guys. The shite can be hilarious.
