Im looking into buying a Manufactured carport to store a side by side and a boat under at my house. If bad weather is a potential threat i want to be able to park two vehicles (2014 Chevrolet Silverado, 2015 Toyota 4 Runner) under if there is a chance for hail or any bad weather. Ive ran across a great deal for an 18x21 with enclosed sides and a back.

My question is, mathematically both vehicles should fit without much door opening room. But should i look into maybe getting something bigger? Has anyone had any experience with these?

My experience with sheds is since you are using mathematics is.
X+y+z=size shed
X=Silverado
Y=Toyota
Z=all the bull shite that you end up stacking in there over time along the walls.
Very good chance a 40x60 shop will not hold two vehicles when needed.

just looked at this yesterday while adding to driveway. Most parking spots are 9 ft wide so 18 feet will basically give you two spots with no room to store anything on the sides. if your not putting anything else 18ft should be good..

Just for reference, 21ft would barely allow my boat, motor, and trailer to be covered, lengthwise. I have a 16ft aluminum boat. 18ft seems a little narrow for two full sized vehicles. Maybe someone here can pull tape on the width of their garage, if they have a two car closed in garage.

my garage for my Z71 and wife's Armada is 24'6" Long x 25'6" Wide and it gives us some room to put shite along the walls and in front of vehicles.
I can put tailgate down and she can open back gate with garage door closed.

for reference, most parking stalls are 9' wide. so imagine two parking stalls with walls on the stripes. Not much room to open doors or lean stuff against the walls.

Measure the truck with the tailgate down and then 18in in front and back at a minimum.

My buddy just had that size put up at his cabin. It will fit what you're asking. You're not going to be able to swing your doors all the way open though. You'll probably want to back in one of the vehicles for more access.
