Growing in a few patches in my yard and I'd like to figure out what to use to treat the lawn to keep it from spreading.

I've had good luck treating it with MSM or another product called "weed free zone". Dont get your hopes too high though. When you're outside and the ground is wet, manually pull up whatever you can.

Buttonweed sucks

Use Fertilome weed free zone

My neighbor pull and re sodded his entire front lawn (0.5 acres) last year due to this. The buttonweed has returned

Looks like Virginia button weed.
Spray with roundup after grass gone dormant.

I have centipede in my yard and after few frosts I spray with roundup to kill out all weeds.

Someone on here said it best before. Let it take over, its green it's hard to kill and it's got pretty little flowers on it!

Not a bad thought. It also grows low to the ground.

Been pulling this shite up all summer long. You can't stay ahead of it. I think the squirrels shite there seeds. And Harvey didn't help either.

Yeah this season has been so wet that the broad leaves have all exploded. I think it's happened to most people

I sprayed Roundup on it once. Killed a patch. Guess what sprouted back first. You guessed it.

nope. May burn it back but doesn't kill root. At least not in my experiences.
