A few friends and I were planning on renting a cabin for 3 days over Spring Break (Mid March). Any place you all would recommend within 3 hrs of BR preferably with a lake for fishing. Looking to spend around $150 a night. Tia.

If you want a straight up fishing cabin, I know a sweet spot on a private lake in MS.

Chicot State Park but you probably won't be able to get the "new" cabins, those things are booked, especially around Easter, a year in advance but the older cabins aren't bad.

This is one of my favorite places in MS to visit...it is a private lake with cabins, etc. around. nothing there is fancy at all, but it fits well below your budget and there is a damn good restaurant on the grounds to boot...the whole place reminds me of a summer camp that you would attend when you were a kid...

it may be a bit outside of your 3-hour stipulation, though.

That place looks great. I think I'll take the kids there this summer. How's the fishing?
