Anyone fish them? Which "series" do you have?
Ran across them today at the Chag's tent sale (not much on deep sale). Was handling them and liked how they felt and were put together. Might go back and purchase a "coastal" or "trigger" series rod but wanted a 1st hand opinion first.

From what I’ve read, they’re the only ones around here who make their own blanks instead of getting them from China.

How good were the deals on rods? Need a new casting and spinning rod. Was gonna swing by today but got hung up at work.

Decent reductions on higher end Gloomis rods. I checked the Cajun Coastal website and the rods I looked at were same price. I think their "revenant" series had a discount but others did not. All the reels I saw were $10 off.
Puglias also has a tax free weekend for fishing stuff so I will prob buy from there as they carry CC rods and I have a gift card to burn
*Shimano area had the best rod discounts that I saw

What loomis stuff do they carry and how much was it marked down?

I have a pair from their Savannah series. One medium-heavy and the other heavy. Would definitely buy again

I saw IMX. I think they had some conquest and other ones mixed in.
E6x were about $20 off
Maybe +\- 15%. the IMX was in high $200s. Didn't look too much at them as I wasn't there for a new rod.
Nice. Thanks.

I thought I saw something saying BOGO for Duckett rods and 50% off Castaway rods

Forgot about that. Castaway was 50% off but they didn't have a big selection. Didn't look at Ducket

2 coastal 6’8” med split grip, top water and corky use only. I really like them but they have zero following in LC so LC tackle is no longer carrying them. Their ML is way too whippy for a trout rod imo. Probably the best >$250 rod I own and I have several.
Don’t call Jayson the owner if you don’t have 60 minutes to here his story.

Thanks, have been curious how their selection compares to puglias but for some reason have never made it over there.

At one time I have owned 6 different Cajun rods. 2 Savannah, 2 Black Bayou, and 2 Cajun Delta. I think their rods are great. Very strong and very sensitive.
I still have the 2 Deltas and the 2 Black Bayou series. I ended up selling the 2 Savannah series. They weren’t bad rods, I just prefer my rods with a faster tip. They state MH/Fast, and it feels more like a Medium/Mod Fast to me. I fish mainly Delacroix, Hopedale, and Bayou B. The faster tip comes in handy, especially when I can only bring so many rods on the boat.
Great company and rods though, and the owner stands by his product.
Edit: the fast tip comes more in handy in those areas because of constantly dealing with grass. If you fish grand isle or similar, a Cajun rod would be perfect. They are damned strong.

I have a Savanah rod from them. It's by far my favorite.

I have a Cajun Delta and have several friends with savannahs. I’ve never heard of one of their rods breaking and they’re plenty sensitive enough for me. I like that they make their own blanks here. Ill keep buying my rods from them.
I’ll agree the action is probably a little slow for whatever they have it marked at. If you’re planning on stopping at their booth at any of the fishing shows, clear your calendar.

I have 2 E6x as well (one casting/one spinning). They are my go to rods. I just have a compulsive buying problem with fishing equipment.

You're in a big arse crowd

I've only had mine about a month and I'm impressed so far.

I recommend never picking up a higher end loomis. I splurged on one awhile back to see what the hype was about and figured I could sell it if I didn't notice a difference. It's night and day, and for bottom contact stuff I'll never go back.
