Who has the best prices? Is there a particular online dealer any of you guys use? I'm about to start shooting pistols regularly, so I'm trying to save some money. Any suggestions?

Shop and compare. Each dealer comes into different stockpiles at different times.

Thanks. I had thought about midway, but I didn't know if there was some super secret OB knowledge I wasn't aware of. Thanks.

Look around for free/reduced shipping. That's really where you can save.

Ammunitionstore dot com
calssportingarmory dot com
These seem to fly under the radar as compared to able ammo and cheaper than dirt.
Like the other poster said, it depends on what brand they recently bought and at what price they paid. They all fluctuate and adjust constantly...

Thanks for the info. I just bought a .40 Springfield xdm and blew through a 100 rounds in 30 minutes yesterday, so every little bit will help with cost.

The main two i buy from online are
Cheaper than dirt
Graff and Sons www.grafs.com
I have noticed a general shortage lately in .223 and 7.62x39 not sure why
ETA: grafs will do free shipping allot of the time so even if they are a dollar or two more a box you still come out ahead

I've bought alot from militaryshooters.com. As all said before prices vary from time to time, and watch shipping costs.

I've only bought from cheaperthandirt. I'm sure there are others that are just as good, maybe even better. I've just always had excellent and quick service from them.

Ammotogo. Competitive pricing and shipping. Been a while since I used them and I had no complaints.

Ive used this one
gun-deals.com/ammo
It's a user submitted spread sheet that factors in shipping and gives you the total cost per round (CPR) of numerous different sites. I just go on there occasionally and sort by cost per round and see if there are any deals to be had.

Compare the prices you find online to Wal-Mart. I have the 40xd and get 100 rounds of ammo at Wal-Mart for $27 or $28.
