Brought it to the OB since more people over here have probably been through the same situation.

Wondering what kind of savings if any the dealerships actually give during Memorial Day weekend. My dad is gonna be cosigning so I can get as little as APR as possible and that's the weekend he will be in town.

Also I'm kinda torn between used and new. Seems with new I can get way more off sticker price, a better APR and longer term, which in turn will lower the note. Con about that is a longer term (although I would like to make about 1.5 payments a month).

FWIW I'm looking at either new F150 Lariat or used 2011/2012 F150 Lariat/KR

Get pre-approved at a credit union before hand for a better rate. Don't let the dealership know you'll be financing elsewhere during the negotiations.

Buying used will knock the premium off that is associated with new. I always buy used, but I'm a bargain buyer. Shop around and see what makes more sense. I know the used market is booming right now, which means higher prices on used trucks. You also may be able to find 0% financing on new right now.

This place knocks off 11k before you even call. Don't know how much lower they will go.

King Ranch 11k off

Mac Haik Ford

Earlier this week some thug POS jacked 48 sets of rims and tires from the Expeditions on their back lot. Over 100k worth, and left them all on blocks. Props for some serious skills.

So make sure they aren't charging you more to recover from their lost assets.

I'll be looking to get a new one at the end of summer/beginning of Fall after I start the new job. Leading the contention right now will be F150 KR Crew Cab 4x4 in green gem with Ecoboost and most of the extras

Will have to check out Mac Haik in Houston if nothing else for leverage to the guys around here.

10-11K off sticker including incentives and rebates is about average for a starting point right now, a little more on the XLT model bc they have higher rebates...keep in mind to get all of the rebates you HAVE to finance trough ford credit and do a trade in.

Buy a used Ford, use savings to buy used Tundra to use while Ford is being worked on. I bet Tundra is used more and not just because the Ford is broken down half the time.
