Range results below. Gun was super impressive. The feeding of the bullets is a little wonky but man it’s accurate

My 3 shot MOA at 100 yards and my son’s first ever shot below right.

Also, the recoil was so light and to be perfectly honest I didn’t notice any increased noise from the muzzle brake

I never find them objectionable as the shooter but I hate sitting next to one.

You'll notice the difference if you're not wearing plugs or muffs.

I was at my gun club few weeks ago sighting in a rifle and checking on another. There was a guy there that had a .460 S&W with a 4” barrel shooting. I saw it was a revolver and didn’t think anything about it. I started setting up a couple lines down from him when he touched one off. The barrel was ported. That concussive wave hit me and moved my clothes. I turned around and looked like WTF?

I moved further down.
Got to talking with the guy and told him about it and he didn’t realize it. He actually let me shoot it and he was standing beside me. I told him to move 20ft to my right to understand. He was blown away (not literally).

A center fire with a break does the same but imagine yourself in the woods for stuff for the sound to bounce back to you.

Get a silencer.

Shooting Hornady Lite 120gr.

Been hunting all year with the "kids gun" (told the wife they needed this gun lol) and shooting these. I've been very impressed with what this load does. Dropped all 4 deer that have been shot with it.

I was two lanes down from a guy shooting a 300 PRC with a muzzle brake on. This range also has a low tin roof that traps all the sound. I had to wait the guy out before I started shooting. It felt like it could alter the beat of my heart when that thing went off. Never felt a concussion like that before.

That .460
Was extremely loud but your post reminded me that the loudest I’ve ever experienced was when I was shooting an f-class match.
I have Leight electric muffs. Guy in the lane next to me was shooting a 6.5 cm 20” barrel with a brake on it.
It was miserable every time he touched one off. I had to go get some foam plug to go under the muffs.

At the end of the match I had a bad headache just from the concussion.

I feel your pain. I have an XP 100 chambered in 284 Winchester w/ a muzzle brake. Touching off 58 gr of powder in a 16" barrel w/ a brake will really wake you up! I always had to be sure my cap was on tight. Amongst all my handguns, including some that have a Magnaport muzzle, the 284 w/ the muzzle brake had the worst muzzle blast. Fortunately I got it suppressed it 2 years ago.

You would be amazed at the recoil reduction and noise reduction with a suppressor. I’d recommend getting a Banish 30, great noise reduction and can be cleaned at home.

I wasn’t a believer until I shot the exact same rifle as I have, Waypoint 2020 in .308, with a suppressor. It was a completely different rifle. Amazing the difference.
