I have a brand new fawn trapped in my backyard. What do I do?

I live in a residential neighborhood although i have a wooded area behind my house with a very busy highway on the other side.

Post a picture.

You see a momma lately? Is it in danger?

damn that dude is cute. No idea what to do though. I would guess just leave it alone and let momma come find him.

I'll be honest though, hearing that little guy cry would break my heart.

ETA - i missed the 'trapped' part. How'd he get trapped? I might would help him out back to the woods.

Keep an eye out for the mom. I bet she's coming back to nurse it. It will jump the fence when it gets big enough.

Leave it be for a while. Momma will be there to check on it and get it to safety

Momma deer is addicted to sack corn and abondoned the fawns. Kill them both now so they don't suffer

ETA: if you are in city limits and can't shoot a gun. Hit them in the head with a hammer. Quick and painless
