went fishing with some buddys and one of them handed me a rod with braided line, did not like . I have never used braided line for specks and reds. What says the OB?

I don't enjoy using it. I only do when I feel the advantage is significant. Frogs, South Carolina, wacky on spinning, and pitching to sharp stuff.

It's all I use now. I can control redfish easily and feel soft trout bites better. Braid has also held up much better for me when fishing over oysters or around structures, and doesn't stretch or deform. I see no advantage to not using braid for redfish and speckled trout.

maybe I will rig up one of my reels with some and test it out a little more. I gave his shite back after I caught 5 reds

Especially on ultra lights. Its the only thing i found that doesnt go to hell on those little line twisting bastards.

I'm sold on NanoFil for UL spinning reels.... Going to pick some up this weekend.... Planning on getting a 1000 Shimano Spirex soon and plan on spooling it with NanoFil as well, prolly 8 or 10 #
