Good God, you really want a business to move a 1200 person operation so you can crow about it?

Would you be willing to pay 50% more for their rifles for a few years to support it?

What they want to do is their business and their choice. Same as their consumers's choice. Simple as that.

Maybe not move the whole operation at once but make attempts to incrementally move operations to a more gun friendly environment. This is only the beginning. It's only going to get worse.

frick the liberals.

At a certain point you have to ask when is enough enough?

Many other firearm and firearm related companies have drawn their line in the sand and decided they aren't going to stand for this nonsense anymore.

Remington seems too scared to do so. In turn their image is going to suffer. Simple as that.

:kige:

Plenty of other people to buy guns from that support the ideas and beliefs of their consumers.

Well guys are paying 2-400% for what some firearms and ammo should cost.

You have to stand for something

If they moved to Louisiana they could charge less. Lower wages and NO UNIONS!

Choosing to stay there for business/operational purposes is one thing and completely understandable.

However, being bought (or appearing to be bought) to stay there is a whole different ball of wax.

All about business.....not all the state is an liberal crap hole. Remington made a smart business decision and thousands of people get to feed their families at night because of it. If y'all think no other gun manufactor (including the ones that have relocated) will not accept an government contract in the future you are delusional.

You are right it is all about business and for a retailer, public opinion and more importantly target demographic perception directly equals dollars.

My current no spend list

Dicks
Auto zone
CTD
Remington
Botach

I agree with you guys that they made a questionable call. But I find hard to believe that a company such as Remington who's sole business is firearm manufacturing would commit businesd suicide by accepting the political views of the minority and libs. I just hoping that I am not being naive by defending them. I don't mind government contracts as long as it supports our troops or folks who actually need them.

Damn i missed that one. It's easy to see why Auto Zone would have that policy on their books but have some fricking sense on when you enforce it.

Company policy is company policy and that is their choice to make but there is an auto parts store on every corner and I don't use Auto Zone either.

Oh i agree, and I certainly don't support their decision to fire the guy. I was just saying that I can see why the policy exists from a liability stand point.

Yep. For some of us principles do matter.
