Boxer won't stop barking when outside.

I have 1 1/2 acres for my boxer outside with an underground electric fence. I keep him out there during the day, and am slowly trying to get him used to staying outside all the time because I'm about to buy a new house. He has the loudest bark I've heard of any boxer when he doesn't want to be outside anymore. I have neighbors, so I hurry and put him inside when he starts barking because I don't want to be that neighbor. I was thinking of getting a bark collar, but don't want him to be confused with the shock of the bark and shock of the fence. Do any of those high pitch devices work? I'm about to buy a shed so I can put him in at night, but the nuisance barking is getting a bit out of control.

Can't hurt to try or every time he starts to bark, put a hose on his arse.

Yeah, I have used them before, and they work wonders. This is the first electric fence I've used, so not sure how he could distinguish the difference.

I'd try a shock collar that you control.
If that don't work remove the collar &

I've tried the hose, but I can't be consistent enough with it because I work so much. Plus, he loves water so he thinks its a treat

That fricker is smart. If the collar isn't on he tests it. If it don't vibrate when he gets close to the fence, he hauls arse after any democrat walking down the street. I've learned they don't like that too much

Load the dogs mouth with peanut butter. When he gets through licking to where he can bark be ready to scold him. After a couple of scoldings load him up with peanut butter again and repeat.

Put his arse in a kennel. Rig up a sound sensor to a sprinkler system. When he barks he gets sprayed.

Don't have much to add but thought I would post a pic of my boxer...

He is fixing to turn 2 and tops out at about 85lbs. I won't say this to my wife because its really her dog but he is probably in the top 2 dogs I have ever owned.. Just a great all around dog.

mine was 75lbs. everyone thought he was a mastiff mix because his head was about the size of a youth basketball. he barked just for the hell of it sometimes when he was older. talk about loud and obnoxious.
