Because I like to eat deer meat. What does it matter the way people murder their deer?

Maybe so. But this guy's act is old already. Trolls don't know how to troll anymore. For arguments sake, lets say he is real....if he were to speak this way to my 85 year old Pow Pow who is on his deathbed at the moment, he would get punched in the face. That's why I am they way I am. If Arizona ever strips down to his whitey tighties and manages to strangle a deer, then I will respect him.

Since what I like to call my "Diameter of Death" shrinks when using a bow I'm able to increase my challenge without raising my trophy standards too much. It's futile to set your trophy standards higher than your area is capable of producing. The how and why that someone chooses to hunt are a personal decision. For me it's about excitement and a sense of accomplishment and I get more of both by killing a mature doe with my bow than by shooting 120 class buck off a rightaway with my rifle. Since my place has more does than 120 class bucks I also get more meat for the freezer.

I misread the OP:

People hunt with rifles because it's perfectly legal to and they enjoy it. I bowhunt except when I go back home and hunt with my Dad and Brother. They use rifles and when in Beekman I do as the Beekmans do. Futility= bowhunting a clearcut.

Hey, if you are hunting a lease where they have deer fenced in and they are all huge does or monster bucks then by all means bow hunt. To me its just more frustrating. Plus then you have to track much more often and in my experience much farther. Frak that. No thank you. I seriously am considering getting a cross bow just so i can get in a few more weeks of hunting in the year.

To me a lot of this conversation goes along with why I sold my TC thunderhawk muzzel loader for a break action 35 wheelen. eazy to unload without shooting, and much farther and flatter shooting. It about getting the deer down as fast as possible for me. If you love to sit around a lot doning nothing and dont really like your wife and kids, then by all means stay in the woods all season long.

You could have just said "I'm lazy" and saved you and I both some time.

I've killed two deer with my bow. Although it was an awesome experience, both ran 500+ yards even with a good shot.

I would like my deer to suffer the least amount possible.

frick that. I pump my fist in the air, scream profanities, and rarely keep more than hind quarter roast and backstrap.

As for Arizona Rick. I hunt during every season so I have more opportunity to kill shite. Prefer a gun because i can kill shite at greater distances
