I was just north of Joshua's on New Years Eve and the water was between 49-53. Haven't had a warmup since. Seems very far fetched to me.

Link to his arrest a while back, pretty remarkable to resist and fight green jeans.

Cocaine is a hell of a drug. Homeboy sailed on a table, swam, didn't get hypothermia or shock, didn't need medical attention, wasn't seen by helicopter or other boats, and just swims out out of the water like a mermaid.

If you turn it upside down, it’s got a little bit of flotation, so I jumped in it and I made me a sail. Tied it on a string. I said I’m going to sail across this bay one way or another, because if I don’t, I’m going to die," said Cheramie.

This sounds like something from a Boudreaux and Thibodeaux joke.

boat likely broke down and he was trying his best at fixing it. or it got stuck and he was waiting on higher tides to get it out.

Eh, I mean I get this 20 years ago. Now a days that's just called being hardheaded and dumb. Its not that hard to carry a $99 radio, tell someone to check on you in 48 hours, etc.

Its also outdoors 101 that if you have an issue to NOT MOVE, and help will come to you. We know people knew where his boat was, so leaving it made 0 sense.

Man that was my FIL, old-school Delacroix Island Isleno, grew up speaking Spanish before he learned English. I worked for him on his 60-foot trawler. We occasionally got into some tight spots but he wouldn't have called anybody for help until the boat was hopelessly sinking.

Ask him if he knew a family with the last name Michalik. My grandpa was raised on Delacroix and his dad ran two shrimp boats. My grandpa got out of there the second he graduated from high school so it might be too long ago to have known them. I've heard countless stories about those days

Hoax. Saw a photo of the aluminum boat he paddled in. It looks like a small aluminum flat boat that just got out the fab shop. Second, the only camp out there I’m very familiar with and there isn’t anything there but a building, no water tank, nada. a little to much meth in his crack. Lol
