That’s about right,trap some nuisance bears and instead of euthanizing them or relocating them to a wilderness,take them and dump them in Louisiana.Nothing but a bunch of ignorant coonasses and rednecks,what does it matter,
Like the Clean Harbors facility in Grant Parish.Clean Harbors has waste disposal facilities all over the U,S.,a few in Mexico and Canada.Only one they did open air burning of hazardous wastes was in Grant Parish.Hauling all kinds of crap from all over and burning it here.We’ve got it stopped for the time being,despite our crooked politicians on the take.
Now “Huey”Landry wants pipelines from all over the country to transport CO2 to Louisiana and pump it in the ground here.Who gives a shite if it ruins our aquifers?
I wish the hell I had retired to Idaho or somewhere.

Have hunted in Tensas since the late 80s. Our first bear siting was i would guess mid-90s. Was a Saturday morning, guy at camp hunted an area that was select cut before the season. He's hunting on the ground and slipping around a tree top and comes face to face with about a 4' tall black bear. They stare at each other for a few seconds and then the bear hauls arse. I was first person to talk to him when he got back to camp. He was wide-eyed and in shock on the bear siting. He said he was glad the bear dropped and ran the other way because he said it was so fast he would haven't been able to get a shot off had it come at him.

I would guess through the 90s all we saw was bear with tags in their ear. Since then the number of tagged ones has gone to nothing. I haven't seen a tagged one in over 10 years. Nothing but native bear now and we have plenty.

i hunt in Tensas too, and we are covered up with bears....i'd say 10% are tagged

have also heard of a game biologist filming a bear den in the tensas refuge that had a sow and cubs and that the sow brought back several fawns to the den
