Mosquitos and gnats are driving me crazy so I finally picked up some Bifen I/T (7.9%) and a 2 gallon sprayer.

Y’all have any tips or tricks for application?

Fenced yard, with trees and bushes around the perimeter.
Spray both the perimeter and grass?
What about the exterior of the home/deck?
Also, I've got a dog, so I need to keep him out of the area for several hours until it dries, but any advice there would be helpful.

Sorry if this is a stupid question. Thanks OB!

Spray the grass, bushes, as high up in the trees as possible, and the exterior of your house.

Not to hijack, I’ve sprayed the yard twice already. Once in March, once in April. Kept the bugs away for about 2weeks each time. What about putting this stuff through a fogger vs a sprayer?

I spray around the base of the house, grass, and on top of and under plant leaves. Basically, anything under 16" gets hit. I only go about 15ft from my patio and around my house, because that's where I hang out. It keeps them at bay

I just drink about 1 Tbs mixed with 16oz of water in the mornings. I'm bug free wherever I wander. Thats what the big chemical companies don't want you to know.

You might do better with Talstar granules. I save the liquid for inside the house and outside under eaves and up a few feet on the bricks. The yard gets Talstar Xtra granules. My yard is a little over .75 acre so granules make more sense for me. I put it down twice a year.

I believe it needs to dry somewhere to work. A fogger seems like it would have so much overspray, it wouldn't be worth it. It would all just float away in the wind instead of going on the intended target

I use granules twice a year as well. Works great. For inside use I use a power called Demon that I mix with water. I’ve been doing my own pest control for 8 years without a problem.

The formulation of Bifen I get is carried on sand, so once spread it's darn near impossible for a kid or animal to find it, much less ingest it.
