Wouldn't be lifting anything over 4,000 lbs. Any ideas?

I would call a couple of local rental places and see if they have anything they may be looking to offload.

dealers or you can try your luck with an equipment auction. Never know what you're getting there tho.

Not sure if they still have those auctions in Livingston but I'm sure you could get one there if they do.

Rental places and whoever sells them knew are probably your best bets. Also ebay, shipping stuff like that is actually pretty cheap usually. I mean you don't know the condition but if it looks good its likely in decent enough shape if you can get a good deal.
I'll tell you I'm in a business that uses some commercial equipment and its a biatch to find if not buying new.

facebook and craigslist.
took us a while but we found a older model komatsu 4k forklift in decent working order for like 2000.
we seldom use it(maybe 10 -20 hours a year) so no reason to buy a expensive forklift.

Try Gulf South Equipment on Hooper Road in Central. They may have one or can get you one.
