TIA

need it to build up a little levee around the base of my house to try and keep the water from draining into the crawl space under the house.

Any nursery will have topsoil or river silt that you can buy by the scoop.

Dig a ditch and use that dirt, depending on how redneck you want it to look.

Don't use topsoil. It will wash away. Call Coy Badeaux 225 405 8141. I did the same type of thing at my house.

Think he is trying to prevent it from getting there in the first place.
I would look at more than a little levee type fix. Sounds like the water needs a way to go the opposite direction too or you will have water standing around the house next.

My wifes aunt had a problem with water getting under her house and not being able to get out...................................they are now replacing all the floor joist.......which basically means they are doing a complete remodel of the entire house.

Side note: The house is very very old.

If I start getting standing water around the house I'll deal withy that then. Trying to avoid putting in a sump pump. I can pump out the water that's there already with a bilge pump or something once I get it blocked off.

Drive sheet pilings all the way around the house to create a sub-surface barrier.

Or jack the house up for about 1% of that cost.

sheet piles wont cut off seepage. only reduce it. Put in a slurry wall to cut off seepage.

I was thinking 2 60' sheets, welded together for a total depth of 120'

A T-Wall like they did around Nola would probably work, only thing I would suggest is going with concrete piles on a batter instead of steel pilings.

Just jack your house up 15' and concrete underneath so you'll have room for the ping pong table.

which reminds me, michael left my phone on the back of the truck when we got done kayaking friday (i gave it to him because he couldnt paddle the final 1.5mi of the trip and i left him to wait at another road crossing for me to pick him up). phone got smoked by a car tire within seconds, and i lost the number of the dude who was supposed to come get the goose dekes. he had said he'd call friday afternoon or evening sometime, but i have no way of knowing now. he didnt leave a message or call back though, so i guess i'm going to relist??
