S&W performance center 9 shield. Pretty sure I paid about $450 for it new right after Covid started and dropped an Apex trigger in it as well. All for under $500 and by far the best EDC pistol I've ever owned.
This one w/ 3.1" ported barrel and slide, fiber optic sights and thumb safety (I'm a 1911 guy so it comes natural). The stock trigger sucked so I dropped an Apex kit in it.
Its real nice

I have this.
Guy sold it to me cause he didn't like how it didn't want to chamber a round if you manually cycle the slide. Book says to use the slide release.
You can use the slide release or manually activate the slide with ball ammo.
For hollowpoints it sometimes wont load manually racking the slide but always works using the slide release.
At first I wondered but trusted the manual and did as it said. Put 200 rounds through to break in.
Has never given me an issue ever. Awesome trigger. Pocket carry easily

Go to a range where you can shoot ones you are interested in, or ask friends to let you shoot theirs if they have something you like. As others have said, it is more important that you are comfortable and accurate with whatever you buy. Take some time and figure out what is best for YOU. Also, don't limit your price to a hard number. If a pistol is right for you and it costs a bit more, spend it. It is an investment also if you take care of it.
I shot many on your list, and kept going back to the Glock 43x, not because I was stuck on a Glock, but because I consistently was more accurate and it just fit my hand well.
Just because it works great for me does not mean it will for you, or anyone else.

Ruger Max -9 Pro is like $375.00 today at Academy. Helluva deal for a Micro-9. 2 10 Magazines, nite sight. Little shooting machine.

Thanks everyone for all the responses. Might go try a few before making a decision.

Best takeaway you could get from this thread. I love my 365XL, but you may hate it.
Second best takeaway is don't fixate on price. If the pistol you work best with costs 650 bucks, pay 650 bucks instead of getting something you won't train with and can't shoot well just because it made your dollar amount.

I picked up one of these as well.
The trigger needs an upgrade, but it shoots much better than the Hellcat or 365.
If you can go a little larger, consider a Canik Elite SC.

LC9S makes for a good single stack carry gun. That's my usual carry for button down/tucked in shirts. Otherwise for untucked I like the PT-111 G2 or 1911.

I love mine. Trigger is so smooth and have never had a jam. I carry mine but it is a tad on the bulky side. It’s big enough to also double as a home defense pistol.

The gun eats steel no problem but I rarely shoot steel Bc it’s frowned upon at the range I usually go to.

The new S&W Shield Plus. It's still cheap and got a nice capacity bump and they improved the trigger.
