I disagree.....

All of my pump shotguns are right-handed, however, I have had problems with gas/gunpowder residue ejecting back into my eyes when shooting Right-handed semiautos.

For the record.....I really want a SBE 2 in lefty

30 years ago my FIL bought me a left handed REM 11-87.
It has been rock solid. Shot deer ,ducks and quail. Don't know if the newer ones are any good though.

I just sold my lefty 1187 & replaced it with a lefty SBE3 26" last month. Black is the only color option. Included 5 chokes for $1600. Camo versions are only available in right handed models.

The BPS 3 1/2" is a good fairly reasonably priced option. You can get an 870 3" lefty new for about $350.

Simmons has a ton of higher end lefty guns including the M2.
OP, can it be slightly used M2? Buddy shot lefty but has switched to right after losing his eye to cancer. Has a camo m2 that he might sell that's prob 3 years old but looks new.

KemoSabe, I'm in the market for a used, lefty M2. What's your e-mail?

I just got an Escort 3-1/2” lefty this year and it’s great. Have shot a bunch of different type of shells through it and it hasn’t jammed. I would have loved a SBE but for half the price I feel like I got a steal. I always shot right handed shotguns but got tired of getting gun powder in my eyes. Hunting a lot of geese and shooting up, gunpowder has nowhere to go but straight in your eyes and it sucked.

Biggest adjustment I’m having is with the safety. When you shoot one way for 20 years, I’ve had multiple times this year I pulled up on some ducks and click. Safety was still on because it’s reverse.

I'm right-handed, but left-eye dominant, so I shoot a right-handed gun from my left shoulder.

Academy had an Escort lefty auto-loader last year for less than $300. I wish I had bought the thing, but wasn't sure about the gun's quality.

No way, not for bolt guns or shotguns.

For what y’all want to spend go with the SBE2. They run through anything waterfowling can throw at it, once I got mine I got rid of my 11-87. My 11-87 was a 96 or so model and it was no where near the gun my grand paws an uncles 1100s were.
