Thanks 4x4.

That was lazy of me not to post at least one pic.

Did you notice the size of that thing compared to the lion in the first pic? Longed haired too for the cold.

That is a monster of a dog. I've got a catahoula and I'm not sure how he would do against something that has had to fight for its food its whole life. He's hell on the UPS guys, but only until I tell him its ok. Then it's all good.

My youngest and my aunts two mastiffs. They're giant pussies.

BINGO!!! I bet if you put 3-5 of those bad boys with a couple hounds, those wolves would have a different mindset

Which may have been Sadie's downfall. She ran well ahead of the pack and was alone.

A couple of:

Rhodesians
Brazilian Mastiffs (Fila)

Had a Fila. Amazing family dog. They know who is "family" and who isn't. If they are trained correctly they won't let anyone in your house until you let them in and let them know the person is "ok". Loved that dog...

It is known for its superb tracking ability, aggressiveness and an unforgiving impetuous temperament.

Brazillian Mastiff is used as a guard dog, as a shepard dog for herding livestock and as a hunting dog for tracking and controlling large prey. When slavery was legal in Brazil, the Brazillian Mastiff was used to return fugitives unharmed to their slave masters. Owing to its size, temperament and potential for aggresion, the Brazillian Mastiff has been banned in many countries.

You want a Caucasian Ovcharka, the Russians use them to hunt bears. It could probably handle a wolf.

You'd need a dog that could run them down and bay them and stay keep him bayed while not getting killed till the kill dogs could come in.

Big BMC's or Rhodesians could do it. And big pits would probably still work on wolves like they do on every other damn thing in the world.

Wolves are badass and all but they're going to have to start hunting them with dogs or dogs are going to be nothing but food for them. They need to understand that dogs mean humans and humans mean death.

I was looking up family protection dogs yesterday for my parents. Some of those bastards are tough as nails.

They are either used for hog dogs or fighting. Bad to the bone

What is it about big cats that they don't understand they could kill 4,5,6 dogs?

Went on a mountain lion hunt with a buddy in Idaho. Still can't get over the cat running up a tree with 4 dogs barking at it...I mean, it had no idea it could have killed every single one of em.

You don't hunt with hounds in wolf terr the wolf will win every time it's natural the Wolf sees the hound as a enemy & challenging the wolf bam dead hound.
