nothing. it's a preference deal

with gas, you get less recoil, but it shoots dirtier and has more front-end weight than inertia-driven guns. you're also able to shoot really light loads more reliably

with inertia, you get more recoil, but it shoots cleaner and doesn't have the front-end weight that you get with gas. with 3.5in inertia guns, there may be cycling issues with really light loads

i prefer the cleaner shooting and the more favorable weight distribution of inertia guns. i never shoot 1oz or less loads so i don't ever run into cycling issues

Yall don't carry the maxus because it's the biggest flop browning has ever had. It is a piece of shite that tarnishes the reputation of browning autoloaders. I would rather use a slingshot than a browning maxus.

Held both. SBE2 felt better so I went with that. Great shooting gun!

Dirty

I can break down and re-assemble my intertia gun while the gas guy is figuring out his ring

Sounds like both are great guns. I'm thinking I'll be getting the SBE2. Currently have a browning gold and it gets very dirty, that's why I am looking at inertia guns. It can't hurt to have one in the collection either way.

For those that have experiences with these two guns, what are your opinions on them?

I have a Super Vinci and a Beretta Outlander but had a SBE2 as my 3.5 gun prior to the Super Vinci. I prefer the Beretta and would get the Beretta 3.5 over both.

I've had a SBEII for about 6 years now and love it. Only problem I've ever had was cycling really light loads like Carson said. It shoulders well and feels great.

My SBEII has never had issues with loads as light as 7/8oz. Maybe I got lucky.

See Beretta A400 break down process then revise statement above accordingly; there's none simpler. Yea gas guns tend to have more parts, especially on front end but some genius designed this system, it's unreal.

I'd go SBEII over Vinci, just never have liked what I saw from Vinci series but apparently they're selling more than a few so to each his own. Countdown rolls on to Sept 12.......

A400 is the easiest to break down after Vinci.

I find the beretta to be like wielding a 2x4. Too bulky for my liking.

agreed. it was by far our biggest selling 12ga semi last season, but I'm not a big fan. I much prefer the ergonomics of the Benelli forearms
