The idea of not having carpet get all mildewy (is that a word?) is nice.

edt: this guy should be driving it.

They should have an MLF tournament using only these boats and no live imaging.

I would like to see this. Take the guys to an un-named lake, no or very limited pre-fishing, no technology, and see what they can do.

My fishing buddy has an old bomber type boat with an old 50hp shallow draft that he keeps on the Bay. Very heavy and stable and works out real good for us fishing for specks and red fish.

Learned to fish with my dad in a 15.5 foot Bomber bass boat with a 65 Evinrude. Thing was so narrow I fell out trying to walk past my brother and lost my balance. That style is a tri hull like most boats of the 70's. Beat you to death in rough water !

Looks similar to the boat I grew up fishing out of, It just wasn't nearly that fancy looking. It's currently being used as a plant pot at the old Travis Boat Center on Main St in New Iberia. LINK

I know that model was popular in '71 - '73. Are they bringing it back, or did they just make a couple of 50 Year commemorative boats for marketing?

Smaller boats are making somewhat of a comeback due to Tiny Boat Nation popularity and size-restricted lakes and bass clubs.

Maybe Bass Cat is trying to get ahead of the competition?

I love it. Grew up fishing Eufaula in the back of Pop’s first bass boat, an Astroglass of the same style.

Love some of the upgrades Rick has done. My Eyra should have started on the line yesterday so hopefully I can get the cockpit floor changed to the new Seadeck material.

If nothing else the long wait due to Covid/supplier issues got me a ‘22 model for the price of a ‘21.... if that’s any consolation for the 4-5 month wait.

That looks freaking awesome. We had a 1974 Ouachita that had a similar hull.

That is a nice little boat and they'd sell a ton of them.

I personally hate big arse bass boats. They just look stupid.

Grandads first bass boat was similar except for all the compartments. Probably 16' and stick steering with a 60hp Johnson. Can't remember if he had a live well or not. Can't think of the name of the brand, pretty much no frills for back in the early 70's. He upgraded soon after he bought his camp on Toledo. The name of his first boat was a Hustler. Just remembered.

Is this why they're sometimes referred to as "douche canoes?"

I up voted your jeff goldblum gif

I get it. That's just a lot of money to spend to catch fish.
