My Grandpaw is pretty involved with the NWTF banquet in Gonzales. I've been to it a couple of times.

Used to go to the DU banquet every year in BR and Bossier City when I duck hunted more. Now I just go to the CCA in New Iberia cause my boss gets a table every year and I like free drinks.

I dont hunt for either but I won/purchased guns at all three.

Not much for the banquet scene, especially in big cities like here in BR. Lots of high-dollar guys who think they're big bad hunters but really don't have a clue. You can win some cool stuff though, no doubt, if you're lucky! ......can also spend a fortune on raffle tix and fake duck and goose bands after being swayed by booz and the sales girls.

Me and my dad go to the NWTF banquet EVERY yr, the last 4 years here is what we have won.
1-benelli super nova 12ga
1-Browning 22 buckmark pistol
1-browing bps 12ga
1- new england pardner 20ga NWTF jake gun of yr
1- Weatherby 300 ultra mag NWTF gun of yr
1- Remington 870 (camo with thumbhole stock)
1- marlin 22lr semiauto rifle
1- New england 243/20g como
1- 5 gallon feeder
1- cuddeback camera
1- table which included over $100 of turkey calls
needless to say i love this banquet every year!

never shot the thing, actually hadnt shot but 3 of the guns we have won, the rest are either n my safe or my dads.

sure just come to the banquet in columbia, ms every year 2nd week of march. I have only won 3 of the below items, my dad won the rest. He is very lucky

RMEF Banquet was Saturday night at the Marriott. Real quality banquet. Great stuff, $10 all you want beer, great dinner. Tits up!

I hear there is a deer management one at drusilla seafood on Wednesday. I think it's 100 but there are 10 guns to give away.
I'm gonna go to ducks unlimited and delta waterfowl this year. Next year I need to get my CCA on.
I hope to one day attend the STAR awards banquet and collect a boat.
