Just bought a new Honda Foreman last weekend. This is the first time owning an ATV. Primarily going to use it for trail riding and hunting (more trail than hunting). I want to replace the standard 25” tires on it and put either 28 or 30” on it. Tried looking up different tires but not sure what is good or not. Don’t want nothing crazy expensive or real cheap. Any recommendations on tire brands, websites, etc?

I went with Maxxis Zillas on my Yamaha and have been very impressed with them. They are very lightweight for the size which is something that can cause clutch issues as much or more than size when going bigger. Going from 25” to 30” is a big jump, I would say understand that you’re asking for suspension work at that big of an increase. If by trail riding you mean mudding then by all means knock yourself out, but there’s no real need to go that big and is the best way to get into the exciting new hobby of learning to replace ball joints, hub bearings, cv shafts, and u joints.

28”-30” is a big ATV tire.

I’ve got 26” Mud Bugs on my 2015 foreman and they’ve been great tires. I haven’t done any kind of tire research since 2015 though.

Yep and they last a long time. I will need to replace the original tires on my 2017 rancher before long. Rocky Mountain atv has some for 360 a set. They are stock size though.

Swamp Lites

I replaced my stocks with 26" Swamp Lites on my Honda Foreman 500. I love them, they ride smooth and the bike spins them well. I've seen them in mud (I'm not a mud guy) and they dug better than I expected.

OutLaw M/T

They used to be called the Outlaw MST. It appears they have redesigned them a bit since I was looking at them. I was buying these before the swamp lites. If not for a communication issue with someone at High Lifter, that's what I would have now. It was my error, not theirs.

All in all I am happy with the tires that I have and they have held up great on the hard pack and asphalt that I usually run.

I bought my last bike in January 2019, a can am outlander 650. A coworker was selling a set of slightly used 28” zillas for $100 so I bought them. They still had plenty life left on them when I sold it this year and I had put about 1,300 miles on that bike. That bike made them look small, I never got questioned about my tire size on any wma I hunted. I wouldn’t go bigger than 28’s though.
I bought a new outlander this year and I have stocks on it now. If I change tires, I’m going with 28” swamplites. I really liked the zillas, but I think the swamplites will be equally as good, or better.

Yeah, I don’t know why I put 30’s in my OP

Running 28” zillas on my rubicon, no lift. Very happy with them, have them on another bike also.

I have a 2004 Honda Rincon that I bought from someone with 27" tires and 2" lift. The tires need replacement and I went back to stock size of 25" and removed lift. I felt the machine ran better and thought the stance was just fine. I try to keep things as stock as possible because it was designed to run that way.

That's because the rincon has the worst factory gearing of any atv ever produced. And the new 700 is worse.

It's a rincon... Only heavier
