I spent 5 days a week in the woods every single week. At least 3 of those were completely by myself, and this was the only time I have been freaked out. Well, that and the time I only had a sharp stick and a bunch of wild dogs were running after me.

Fa sho. I was a group of 4, and they almost ran right by me because I was crouched down, but one saw me and they flipped their shite. None of them did anything, but definitely had potential to.

I'll tell you what, I had a Leatherman, and that was the fastest I have ever made a spear in my entire life

Do "wolves" and "coyotes" stand for uncollared dogs?

So now that brings the tally to wolves, yotes, and bears, but a little armadillo had you shooting up the bushes at night?

The coyotes that I have seen wanting to eat a person were sneaky as frick. They all circled him really quietly and busted out of the cane all at once.

Pilottown coyotes >>> BR coyotes

yeah wild dogs more likely than wolves except in late 60's they were more of them and they looked like wolves to me but I was a little kid and but could have been wild dogs.

Tracking means following you for a miles or so. Likely because we were trailing duck blood.

Well, we used to duck hunt directly across the river from Pilottown. My buddy sat down to rest and they snuck up behind him. Good thing we were paying attention and got off some shots before they went after him.

Those GD things are everywhere. I remember seeing a Z71 chasing down a coyote in the Hayfield lots before a game one morning

Hopefully you randomly shot into the darkness with no idea what you were shooting at like the OP.

Seriously though, I hope you didn't do that.
