What type of fishing? Bass? Crappie? Not familiar with the area, but wife and I drove through and it looked fishy.

Can't wait until I can access my spot on the Mississippi River in Lower St. Bernard Parish to start catching me some big cats for the freezer. I need it to be down to 4 ft. or less in that area and as of today it is just over 6 ft. and would be wet with real soft ground to get to the river's edge.

The spot I fish is good from early morning until around 1 p.m. before the sun starts baking the area in the summer months.

I always try to see how many I can count when driving the bridge. It's crazy.

I miss fishing the spillway. Some of the best, and most frustrating days of my life.

Basin is a shell of its former self. Too much silt, not enough water flow, and Asian carp have put a whooping on the place. Plenty of catfish in the river though and its just about to get right.
