Thanks to all the people who put useful information. I asked the same thing and got crucified for it. I thought this board was supposed to help each other.It seems like sometimes people hide behind their computer and try to act "cool". My son is 10 and recently got into hunting an loves it. I sometimes post on here to get advice but usually just get a lot of ignorant remarks. Thanks for the good info

Copping an attitude doesn't help your cause. People don't like answering the same questions repeatedly so try searching the board before you ask. The topic you were interested in was already being discussed and was easily found, sometimes the topic may be a day or two old and just need a bump to get things rolling. Try this LINK

Here in Union parish it hasn't really started. The buck I killed had dark hocks but I haven't see them chasing yet. They are cruising though.
In Jackson parish they are chasing like crazy. We have been seeing several run does including one big one that me nor my brother could get a shot at. I would say by the end of the week they will be in heat.

My Pops dropped an 8 point in Claiborne Parish today. He said it was chasing...I'll be there next Friday to Sunday...hope I'm not too late.
