Are Saigas worth a s$%t?

Thought about getting one, but have heard they're not well made. Any OB'ers with knowledge of them?

I have very little knowledge of them but I know where a decent deal can be had on 2 Saiga .410s.

I have the 12 gauge and its a beast. It is not a fan of low brass hangs up every now and then. But any high brass shells as fast as you can pull the trigger. I just got a 20 round drum for it. Makes my nipples hard just looking at it.

Who told you that? Saigas are actually very well made. The only ak type rifle you can get that is 100% Russian.

That's why I'm asking. Can't say I've heard it from anyone that I trust, but I don't anyone that owns one and have no personalexperience/knowledge of them. Was thinking of getting one of the shotguns.

They are very well made, one of the better quality AKs that are affordable. Buddy and mine each own one, I always recommend them

Saw a 12 gauge today for $700. Is that a decent price? Would be hell on some hogs with one of those drums.

I had a .410 version. about 10 years ago when they were considered $250 pieces of crap.
Was impressed that it always went BANG. The workmanship and finish was rough to say the least.
I got a case of slug ammo only to find that the front sight was not squared to the barrel.
It was only good as a scattergun. Got rid of it.
