Geese seems like the right answer but they are very similar to chickens except the feet.
Any zoologists post here?

They migrate from the farm to the table

Maybe before they were domesticated they migrated?

Ducks are in the same family as geese--Anatidae.
Chickens are in the family Phasianidae with quail, turkeys, pheasants and peafowl.

Since we are discussing fun facts here is one I ran across today regarding mullet
“Because of the presence of the gizzard, the striped mullet was once ruled in a Florida court to be a bird since a biologist testifying for the defense said only birds have gizzards. This decision led to the acquittal of a commercial fisherman from a charge of fishing out of season.”

Proof that "experts" are not always correct.

Wood ducks don’t migrate

Populations in the Southeast typically don't, but northern birds do.

Hmm.
Classification:
Ducks and Geese are the order Anseriformes
Chickens are the same as Jungle Fowl and in the order Galliformes
Chickens are related to ducks and geese at a higher classification and that is the class Aves.
Ducks are not as closely related to chickens as they are to geese.
That's the zoological/taxonomic answer.

Thanks Dillo. That makes a lot of sense scientifically but what about socially?

I mean, they all flock, but nothing about social behavior makes ducks more closely related to chickens.
Ducks and geese will use the same fields and marshes at the same time. Anything wild even closely related to chickens isn't hanging out with ducks in any significant numbers.

About the same amount of time it takes to get your order at Popeyes

I understand that is what happens now but I believe that mainly is due to chickens feet. They would sink if they tried to hang out with ducks. From the limited interactions I've seen I think they would get along well in at a neutral site.

I see absolutely nothing in common btwn a duck and a chicken, except a wing. Are you high?
