Sent back 2 pair a couple months ago. One pair waa 7yrs old, chipping paint.. the other pair was 5yrs old, i lost in woods and squirrel chewed off rubber. They replaced both with brand new pairs of my choice for $40 total

I started a claim on sunday for a pair and they've already approved full replacement and sent label for defective product return.

I’m hearing from a couple local retailers that their customer service has gone to shite since being bought out and it’s taking up to 6 months for replacements to come in? For those who have used lately, Is this true?
This is the reason I went with another brand last year when buying new glasses. I fish a good bit so I went with Wiley X because of the strength of their lenses. (ANSI Z87.1 safety standards for optical clarity and high mass/high velocity impact protection)
So far so good but it's only been about 5-6 months so only time will tell..

Last August I had them replace, for FREE, a pair of glasses that I'd had for several years. All the rubber pieces had come off, were falling off or were rotting and I received a new pair.
I also have a pair of Pelagics and like them better actually.
Oh, this was warranty work. Old pair discontinued, picked from a few pair. 580Glass

I stand corrected it's 30% off. Broken at the bridge of the nose.

Upon evaluation of your claim, we have determined that the issue was not due to defective material or workmanship. Unfortunately, repair of your damaged eyewear is not an option as this model and its replacement parts are unavailable.
Although your claim is not covered under warranty, we appreciate your business and would like to offer you a coupon for 30% off your next eyewear purchase on CostaDelMar.com.

Now, you upload photos to their warranty portal when you are filling out your request. They tell you before you even mail the glasses if the warranty request is approved. They then send you a prepaid label to ship to them. Everyone told me the new Costa warranty sucked. That has not been my experience at all. Exactly the opposite.
I posted this exact message a while back; it's far better now that it used to be. There's no more guessing, because they tell you up front whether it will be covered. You used to have send the glasses in and hope they were covered or get a nice bill from Costa for fixing them. I paid around $50 for new ear rubber a few years ago, and this last time they gave me a new pair when the arm broke. Free.

Had two pair of glasses replaced since January. It took about 2 weeks from claim to replacement arriving.

I used it last summer and it was fine. Not sure if they've been bought since then.

Main problem I've had with Costas is the rubber pieces on bridge and arms always fall off due to the adhesive failing. I understand it has something to do with sunscreen and heat but I'm not going to discontinue wearing sunscreen or fishing during the 8 months it's hot outside
I’ve had this problem and I fixed it myself with gorilla glue

March 27th until just now.
All I had to do was find a box to ship the glasses back in. Not a cent on my end.
Other pair is still in New Orleans according the the tracking. Must’ve fell off the truck

Used it a few months ago under new management. It was the first time I got free replacements (on two pairs).
May have been because they weren't accepting repairs under covid protocols, but it worked in my favor for once.

They won’t replace nose inserts or the flaking paint/coating. They don’t “see an issue” with the glasses. I’ve submitted the claim twice and nothing. I’ve had these glasses for 16 years and they rebuilt them twice already. The service used to be top notch, but not so much anymore. They’re great glasses, but the service is not what it once was.

I've never had luck with Costa warranty. I have two pair now that I need to try and send back. Fingers crossed.
I also have a pair of MJ's that need to be sent back. That will likely be an easy process. I've had nothing but good luck with them.
