If so, how do you like it?

good guns, shitty stocks. do like Clames did and fill the stock with silicone to make it feel a little more robust

for the $350 or so that they run for, it's a great value

you can also fill the stock with thickened epoxy
it's a very lightweight hollow plastic stock
the action is classic and bulletproof which for the price is all you are buying
plenty of aftermarket sticks as well. Boyd makes a great stock for it

What Carson said shoots great. Stock feels cheap.

Never knew about filling the stock. May look into that.

I've got one put up for my 3 year old son NIB. I can't help you with reviews but will check back on them here.

Good topic. Been considering this or a savage axis. Both have great reviews. Hopefully this thread blows up.

Love mine, definitely do the shore 10 silicone mod to the stock.

10-shot 100yd group with an early handload.

Just ordered a Boyd laminate stock for it. See how it compares to the factory stock.

Thanks for all of the replies. I have done some research on these and I have been impressed with what I have read. Can you describe what you did with the shore 10 silicone? How much did you need and what is the process that you used?

Look out for special offers and rebates on these rifles, Ruger is pretty generous with them throughout the year. I got the cheekpad and a nice rifle bag for it free with a mail-in offer.

Order this kit from Amazon:

LINK

Takes exactly 1/2 of the kit to fill the stock. I just removed the barrel/action, unscrewed the cheekpad and pulled out the pieces of styrofoam inside, and clamped the stock to a vertical surface. Mix A:B in equal parts and pour into the stock and let it setup for a day to cure. Feels like bathroom silicone caulking but no smell and it adds about a pound to the weight, seems to help with balance and recoil.

ETA: Order a spare magazine or two. Don't know if Ruger has improved them but the one that came with my rifle took a few range trips to work out and feed without hanging up the last round. The two I ordered extra functioned flawlessly.
