Google the interior on the platinum. Its great.
ETA - I paid $41k for mine new with end of the year deals. Interior is bad in the tundra so with Titan interior and warranty, I went that route.

The only thing funny to me about the interior is the shifter, It looks huge and funny. The truck for me is still very functional for what I need.

I rather that shifter like that rather than the turn knob of the dodge and the button selector of the GMC

Those diesels are a lot of money for a truck that can only tow around 12,500 in a gooseneck/5th wheel setup, less in bumper pull.
Should not be towing any 5th wheel with any half ton.

My only complaint is the small screen.

I agree w/ that but I'm going from no screen to 6 inch, so it's a big step up lol
Something between the 6" and the iPad of the Dodge would be nice

It could have a 500k mile warranty and I still wouldn’t buy it

Other thing is the back up camera is great. Gives an “above the truck” view in a split screen. Also has a camera on the front if you are easing up on something to get as close as possible. Mine has built in tool boxes in the bed of the truck that I like. Not sure if all the models have that or what.

Agree with that. Damn, I thought it was a 3/4 truck.

Buddy of mine has one with a Cummins and he just had it deleted. I would not have believed it was the same truck at all, the turbo spools up a lot faster and everything about it is better.

Maybe if your family runs along the side of the truck carrying their cargo it is, you will run out of cargo space or exceed rear axle capacity before running out of tow capacity. Winnie makes a very small 5th wheel that could possibly be towed by a half ton.

Our office has three 2018 Titan XD's and one 2019 Titan XD. Everyone raves about them (compared to the Chevy Silverados they were driving).
I don't think the gas mileage is quite as good as the Chevy's, but for dependability the Titans are head and shoulders above the Silverados.
Every Silverado we own has been in the shop multiple times. One of them had a defective paint job (paint started peeling) on the roof of the cab. Chevrolet refused to handle under warranty because it was 1000 miles beyond the 36,000 mile warranty. All Star Chevrolet wanted $3000 to repaint the cab.
None of the Nissans (including two Pathfinders and one Armada) has ever been in the shop for repairs.
The last Titan XD we bought (two weeks ago) was a 2018 that happened to still be on a dealer's lot in Texas. We bought it for dealer invoice minus $500, and got an additional $9250 in cash rebates (We have a Nissan fleet number, so I'm not sure if the rebates are that big on retail units).

quote:Nope. Plenty of 1/2 ton friendly 5ers out there. I pulled two over a period of 12 years with two different GM 1/2 tons. Never an issue.

Nissan interiors feel so cheap.
Xterra and titan interiors are some of the hardest wearing out there.
With 180k miles, mine still looks new except for where I gouged the rockford fosgate paint by accident.

I bought mine at McLarty Nissan in Little Rock. It was a 3 hour drive for me but their prices were great.

Does yours have the rails inside the bed? Would there be an issue hauling a kayak?
