Got some acreage I'm going to sell. I'm too old with health problems and I no longer need it. Conventional realtors aren't too interested in dealing with a listing.

No, sir. It's mountain land. Deer, turkey, grouse, squirrel, and bear hunting when our county gets a bear season.

Talk with Mark Hutto with Whitetail Properties. I've known him a long time. He's a good guy. He got out of farming and became a Realtor. He is a realtor with whitetail properties and RecLand Realty.

Also give Brown Realty Company a call. They list properties in over 7 states. If they don't list properties in your state, I'm sure they can recommend someone that does.

Are you from Scott County? How much are you wanting and general location?

I have. But what you’re looking for is a good land agent. They may be with WP. They may be with a different brokerage. There is nothing special about WP that isn’t offered by other brokerages with a decent internet presence. There was a WP agent arrested in MS last year for timber theft, fwiw. Hire the agent, not the brokerage.

Yes. Near the Tenn/Va state line. Don't want to violate Chicken's rules here. I can say that I received unsolicited offers three months ago for 67K and 87K. I didn't take them seriously because it was from two of those companies that send out letters to land owners wanting to buy their land. I wrote it off as being a scam. Maybe I shouldn't have?

I’ve purchased and sold land with WP’s, and Recland. I suggest SmallTown, but all mentioned will do a good job.

They're probably real but I can promise you they're trying to buy for a fraction of it's worth.

We recently bought some land in southern MS that Whitetail properties was listing. We had a really good experience with them. No issues at all.
