Lot of misinformation in here. They don't make $170k except a select few feeders and that's including benefits. The buy out is $1800 per year of service or 10k minimum. It's not worth it unless you was already retiring within 6 months.

The whole reason they're offering is with most centers going automated that's a lot of part time employees laid off/ doing nothing. If they can get the senior guys out and new guys in they'll save a ton of money cause it takes the new guys 4 years to top out. They currently make $44 top out and I think the new guys start at $31.

The union is totally against it for one reason only. 20,000 x 2 hours of pay per individual per month = a lot of money
