I’m sure it’s a fine truck but this:

Can haul anything my 2019 GMC could.

Ain’t true.

Yeah for sure plenty enough for all that. Seems like the people that have them like them. I’ve never ridden in one so I have no firsthand experience.

Most full size trucks have a bed that is around 50” wide between the wheel wells. This is by design, tons of material like, plywood, paneling, fencing, expanded metal come in standard 48” widths. Unfortunately the Gladiator is only 44” wide between the wheel wells. Makes hauling common 48” wide material awkward.

That's putting it nicely
It's a fun vehicle, for about a week but they really are the worst parts of trucks and Jeeps all in one.
If I only had one vehicle to drive daily, it sure as heck wouldn't be a Jeep wrangler.
ETA: I've owned 2.

I work at a jeep dealer. I am very familiar with the gladiator. I’m the parts manager, not in sales. If you have specific questions, I can answer them as far as what you can or can’t do. Upfits/accessories and what not.

I wish ‘Yota would make a Tacoma with a small V8 and a solid front axle.

I brought one home for a few days and decided against it. Some of the complaints I read online, coupled with the price point scared me away.

We rented a car one time and when we went to pick it up all they had was a Gladiator, it was a soft top and made an awful noise when you got up over 50-60 mph. I mean so loud you couldn't talk or hear the radio.

You could take your hand and push the top up and it would stop but who wants to ride around like that, you had to constantly push and hold it tight.

I found the whole thing a cheap piece of shite and tried to get my money back - I failed because Avis sucks balls/ they gave me a 1/2 price credit I never used

any advice

If you want a decent discount off msrp look up the leasehackr forums. Some of the brokers are offering good deals. You can just buy instead of leasing but still get the discount.

We are ordering my wife a 22 Wrangler on Monday . There isn’t much inventory right now to choose from. We had a wrangler about 8 years ago and enjoyed it but didn’t have the room needed as kids grew.
She is excited to have another.

Same thing with the wrangler, especially the 4xe. Depending on her driving habits a lease on a 4xe will get you another 7500 off plus the discount i think around 8-9% off msrp

thanks I’m not going to lease but that’s good info.
I’m getting the gladiator at invoice less any rebates available that I can find when it’s delivered

honestly they just want my truck LOL. Also the dealer is a good friend of mine

It is a jeep. People love or hate them. I personally like the look after a lift and tires. reddit has a gladiator community that can give you some great ideas.

ETA

My main complaint is the price.

price is what it is.
if the demand were not there the price would be lower

wife’s wrangler is easily the most reliable and enjoyable vehicle I’ve ever bought. I had to drive it while my truck was in the shop (again) and I didn’t want to give it back
