And tie the knot in between the plunger strokes which will destroy everything if the timing is off

I think you could make decent money after expenses and equipment notes with 1000 acres of hay. But you would have to find good buyers. Can't be waiting of trucks and trailer to show up in the field with 500 round bales.

Baling is easy, selling is tough.

Rounds bales can be left outside. Squares have to be picked up day of baling. Normally the day I baled, I would make some phone calls and have people lined up to pick up behind the baler in the field. That way I never had to touch the bales.

We have JD, Massey, Kabota, and a Deutz-Allis all from around '90. I would take the Deutz in a heartbeat. The Massey has plenty power but isnt very user friendly. The Kabota is comfortable but lacks on power. The JD is powerful an easy to ride but its loud and seems to eat diesel. The Deutz has good power, smooth, easy to drive, and appears to have evolved to run on pure air. Idk about new tractors but I love that Deutz.

True. Spent too much time with square bales. Round bales where I can move them with the Massey is when I really started to like farming when I was growing up.
