I would not buy it for the duck hunting for sure. Deer hunting is great. LSJ is right down the road, with best restaurant Ducks Nest.

Messing with waterways have really created a lot of issues. Then just thinking about Huey Long bulldozing the giant Indian mound city to use the dirt to build up the ramp for the old Jonesville bridge just makes me shake my head.

Was in Clayton hunting farms years ago was Osborn hunting club then. Duck hunting was very good then but that was 21yrs ago. We now have property as the crow flys just about 5miles away and I can say one thing…the duck hunting is bad. Don’t even see flocks migrating high anymore. We’ve had our place for 20yrs now and it almost seems as if the flyway has shifted. Less and less ducks has the years go by.

It takes constant attention to keep a place like that open and huntable.....and then you still need a migration.

We've been in the area for 20 years as well and I have to agree with you here. Duck hunting in the area is in constant decline just like in south LA.
