Can anyone make some suggestions on where I can find a selection of rustic older wooden doors?

I’m looking to build a kitchen table with an old door.

I live in the Prairieville area.

Maybe Craigslist, more often local home decor shops that specialize in antiques. You might be reduced to finding a local furniture maker that can build a replica to order. It will be expensive. I did just a replacement lower panel in a solid wood exterior door on a house built in the early 1900's and I charged about $800.

I have a few that I have found that fit the part on age and size, but they are at auction buildings or pawn shops and want a rediculous amount for them. They are in rough condition also.

Most of those old doors have panels, are you planning on covering it with glass?

The corbel on Highway 61 north of Zachary has a large inventory of old doors, but they are very proud of them.

I prefer Ricca's. They are high as giraffe's nuts, too, but they have some gorgeous stuff. They have things that cost a fortune when new and would cost a fortune to duplicate.

The one in the photo was $900. I’m starting to find that this will be an expensive project.

Yeah, unless you own the tools and somebody gave you the materials, there is no cheap way around these things. But, you get something that will last generations with a little care.

I think I have one in my shed. From the 40s or 50s I think? Last I remember, it has glass in it though (and a doorknob).

Eta: It's 30x79. Not sure if I want to keep the old knobs/locks for replacements or not, but you can have the door. I don't need the doorbell thing.
